How long have you been in business?
I have been teaching and performing since the 1960's.
What is your primary product or service?
Belly Dance classes and dancers for hire.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
It began while I was in the ethnomusicology program at UCLA, and was inspired to do independent field research on music and dance in the Middle East.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
My students not only learn special techniques, such as isolating parts of their body and developing dance musicality, but they learn the differences between various Middle Eastern cultures, regarding dance movement, music and history.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One. No plans for expansion at this time.
